Use cases

The same app, different ways of working with due dates

A location can be a client’s address, a residential building or a restaurant. Each example shows how to organize equipment, due dates and the people responsible for inspections at those locations.

We prepared these scenarios using sample data. Each includes setup instructions, a suggested workflow and calculations to help you choose a plan.

What they have in common

What these use cases have in common

Despite the differences, every example follows the same working pattern, based on a few features of the app.

Locations and inspection items

A client, building, venue, or property is a location, and the equipment and installations that need inspections are inspection items. In a location you can record contact details and notes.

Recurring due dates and reminders

For each inspection you set a due date and a frequency in days, weeks, months, or years, and the app reminds you of upcoming dates.

Statuses, calendar, and filters

Inspections have statuses, and the calendar, dashboard, and filters show what is overdue and what falls due soon.

Results history and teamwork

After an inspection you record the result and the date, and the team works in one workspace with the roles of administrator, inspector, and viewer.

ProbeList does not determine which inspections are mandatory. It is worth agreeing the scope and frequency with a qualified specialist, and in the app you set the dates you want to track. You will find more on how it works on the How it works page, and information about who ProbeList is for in the Who it’s for section.
